This is some of Nicole Atkins best work! It’s got a juicy sense of theatrics paired with her amazing vocals. Also I love the production on in, there are so many extra textures and instruments that fill this out. So glad I own this CD!

I’ve been following Nicole Atkins for quite a while and she continues to amaze me. It’s rare that I find an artist I love with an album I can listen to from start to finish without skipping. She’s accomplished this not once, not twice, but FOUR TIMES with this fan! She really found her sound with the album Goodnight Rhonda Lee and has kept running ever since. You won’t be disappointed in her new album Drama, so many songs from it are in my new playlists I keep on repeat! Her voice is sultry, layered, brash, and digs from the soul to the heart until it busts out, a real one-two punch to the gut and ears. If you ever hear her live it’s a gift to experience! Do yourself a favor and grab a CD or vinyl. You can feel the love she continues to pour into her art and a physical copy ensures that won’t disappear from your fingers. Time to put my headphones on and experience all the Drama again!
